Rami Malek, like practically all of the stylish men who came before him, is starting to circle around something of a uniform. It consists of ankle-length black pants, a pressed shirt buttoned all the way up, and some sort of swaggy layer on top; a bomber, sweater, and sometimes a blazer. Tough black lace-up boots (or black dress shoes, when the occasion calls for it) are the finishing touch. It’s polished and professional but badass too; a uniform for the style rebel with an office job.

Malek’s outfits are pretty much head-to-toe Dior Homme these days, seeing as the actor just starred in the brand's Spring 2017 campaign, but it’s entirely possible to achieve this look on a budget too. Start by building a core wardrobe of slim-cut black and white staples and add a few slick accessories to take things up a notch. Then, when the sales are on or you’re just feeling saucy, pick up a nice knit or killer bomber jacket to add some interest to the whole thing. And that’s about it. You don’t need to own a lot—or spend a lot—to look Dior Homme-level good. You just need someone like Malek to show you how it’s done.
