There’s not much pasta in it, but we’re still excited anyway.

It's been over a year since Aziz Ansari's thoughtful Netflix dramedy Master of None premiered its first season, but in just one more month we'll get to catch up with Dev and Arnold for another season of food, dating, and wearing good suits to every possible occasion. While its first season functioned pretty well as a standalone story, it did leave us with something of a cliffhanger—as Dev got on a plane to go to Italy and learn to make pasta and find himself. (Which sounds kind of silly out of context, but it was very moving to watch, I swear.) Since that's where we left off, it's kind of disappointing there is absolutely zero pasta in the first trailer for season two.

There is, however, a bunch of other great stuff in the trailer, brief as it may be: shots of Dev and Arnold Vespa-ing their way around Italy eating stuff, the return of Ansari's real-life parents (the true breakout stars of Master of None), and...are those the Jabbawockeez? Not sure if that's good or bad, honestly.

Here's a brief synopsis from Netflix:

After traveling abroad, Dev (Aziz Ansari) returns to New York to take on challenges in his personal and family life, a new career opportunity, and a complex, developing relationship with someone very meaningful to him.

You'll be able to stream all of Master of None season two when it premieres on May 12, and if you haven't seen the first season yet, check it out—we like it a lot, and it's stylish as hell.
